With a little better aim, he could have saved us all a lot of trouble.

What is the very first parable that Jesus tells in the Gospels? What do the path, the rocky ground, and the thorns symbolize? And why is that sower such a bad shot? With a little better aim he could have gotten all the seed squarely on just the good soil and saved everyone a lot of trouble! But the seed is meant to be scattered lavishly because it is the Word of God, who says to you, I give myself to you.
