The mother/son duo DUPREE had a stellar 2022, boasting 23 weeks in the top 10; now they seek to do it again with "Meet Me on the Mountain."

DUPREE, the Catholic mother and son musical due taking the Christian music world by storm, is back with another fantastic single. Released just days ago, “Meet Me on the Mountain” is an excellent tune with a jubilant message of faith and is a worthy addition to any catalog of religious songs.

Dupree had a stellar second half of 2022, with the release of their previous single, “He Tells Me (Who I Am).” The song made huge waves in the industry, boasting 23 weeks in the top 10 of the Australian Christian music charts. Now they’re poised to take to the top 10 again with “Meet Me on the Mountain,” which is a shoe-in to take another top spot on the charts for a variety of reasons, not least of which is the high energy they bring to the piece.

The opening call for listeners to stand up is bound to get audiences on their feet and singing along to the simple yet powerful chorus after one hearing. The song is tailor made for audience participation, making it easy to imagine it being played in a grand arena or a small worship service, while its message of unity in faith can speak to Christian audiences of all denominations.

Fans of DUPREE may already expect a guitar solo thrown into the mix, but we would be remiss if we didn’t note the exceptional work Dylan Dupree displays on his instrument. It brought to mind that thrilling moment of Michael Jackson’s “Beat It” when Van Halen erupted into a distinctly metal solo in the middle of the pop hit. In a similar fashion Dylan injects the fun and poppy progression with the tones of classic rock. It’s a wonderful addition to the song, although we feel for the music ministers that try to recreate Dylan’s virtuosic touch on the fretboard.

“Meet Me on the Mountain” is steeped in the core message of DUPREE’s previous releases, which they explain seeks to express to listeners that “You Matter, You Belong,” a sentiment that echoes the words of Pope Benedict XVI: “It is good that you exist.” This message speaks to Catholics and non-Catholic Christians alike, who are quick to get behind this unique mother and son musical duo.

Keep up with DUPREE’s latest releases on their official website and hear more of them on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, or your favorite streaming service.
