We celebrate Christ’s victory over evil and over death ...

While we celebrate Christ’s victory over evil and over death, let us pray for the victims of the terrorist attack in Mogadishu, which killed more than a hundred people, including many children. May God convert the hearts of the violent!

This was Pope Francis’ prayer after leading the midday Angelus on October 30.

More than 100 people were killed in twin car bombings in the Somali capital, Mogadishu, on Saturday. A truck bombing killed 500 at the same spot five years ago, which is a busy intersection.

An al-Qaida ally claimed responsibility.
