The divine sign that everything is only now beginning ...

George Bernanos (+1948):

Every predestined person has, at least once in their life, thought they were sinking and hitting rock bottom. The illusion that everything has been taken from us at the same time, the feeling of total dispossession, is the divine sign that, on the contrary, everything is only now beginning. God wants us to search for him as he hides within our doubt and anguish—up to the last second. What does it matter to me to know whether or not I have hope? It’s enough for me to have the works of hope. The poor have the secret of hope.
