Two champion skiers show what's really important in life.

A recent photo taken during the freestyle skiing men’s aerials event captures friendship and trust. It’s an image that brings together not only two sporting champs, but two nations that have been on the verge of war these last few weeks.

Ukraine’s aerial skier, Oleksandr Abramenko, came in second during the aerials event, winning his country’s first medal. Russian Olympic Committee’s Ilya Burov got a bronze medal after coming in a couple of seconds behind his neighbor.

The image of the athletes is certainly welcome during such a volatile time between the two nations, and it demonstrates how the aim of the Games to bring unity among the nations can be effective. Hopefully the goodwill between the two men will spread to their borders, and help bring about peace.
