This is one of the most beautiful testimonies to marriage you'll ever see.

In a touching (and energetic!) video shared by Growing Bolder on Facebook, Virginia Ferrino talks about facing her new life after her husband of over 60 years died.

The couple met in 1938 when Bill was a marine. They fell in love right away, with Virginia vehemently declaring many years later that she “had a wonderful marriage … he was the love of my life … and we loved each other right til the end.”

We can see the overwhelming love that Virginia still has for her husband, especially when she listens to a song with lyrics that seem to resonate for the nonagenarian: “When I grow too old to dream, I’ll have you to remember.”

While it would be understandable for Virginia to be lost in grief, she has an unusually refreshing approach to managing her new life without her beloved husband. It’s a lesson to us all about how powerful love can be, even when our loved one is no longer with us.

“I made up my mind that he was going to live in my heart every single day, every minute of every day, and he did,” she explained.

Virginia’s loss didn’t stop her from getting on her bike and traveling the world … Well, not quite literally, but she has a newfound passion for cycling on her stationary bike, unintentionally notching up 52,000 miles, which equates to circumventing the world twice over!

What stands out in the video is hearing that the senior has the same passion for life as she had for her husband. And it is this passion that allows her to “enjoy life so much after 90.”

If you have a few minutes we recommend spending the time to watch the remarkable, dynamic, and loving Virginia Ferrino.
