The popular chef is at it again!

You may have heard of José Andrés, the chef who’s made it his mission to use his God-given talents to help feed people in times of need. In fact, in the last few years, wherever there’s been a natural disaster, you’ll often see the friendly face of the Spanish-born American popping up serving meals.

So it wasn’t a huge surprise this week when Andrés tweeted about his next destination: Kentucky.

After the horrific tornadoes that saw so many people lose their homes, livelihoods, and even their lives, the chef headed straight there with his organization, World Central Kitchen, to lend a helping hand.

Thanks to partnering up with other chefs and catering suppliers, Andrés and his fellow volunteers will “show solidarity” for those who will be facing a very difficult Christmas.

In the video on Twitter, Andrés points out that we all need to look out for each other, and be kind to each other, especially in times of need. And in a further tweet, Andrés sends a report straight from the scene of destruction in Mayfield, Kentucky.

It’s difficult to imagine what affected families are going through, but thankfully there are kind-hearted individuals who do their very best to help where they can. As the chef states:

“Christmas is coming … and I hope all of America will do their part in trying to help these folks in different ways. “

At the end of the video Andrés asks us to pray for these families in need. It is a simple yet powerful way to join in his efforts. If you want to help financially, you can also donate to the World Central Kitchen, which will use your money to serve up warm meals to the victims of the tornadoes.
