It isn’t easy being a bishop, as it means making a number of important decisions on a daily basis.
These decisions directly impact the flock God has given them to shepherd.
Here is a short prayer adapted from the Roman Breviary to spiritually support your local bishop, giving him the courage and strength to follow God’s will in his life.
Almighty and everlasting God, have mercy upon your servant our Bishop [N.] and order his goings according to your mercy in the paths of eternal salvation that by the gift of your grace he may ever seek such things as to please you and with all his strength to lead his flock along the path of salvation.
